Formwork skeleton solution uses cold formed steel sections to replace conventional timber beams in concrete formwork. The main steel beam is made of 3 to 4 mm thick cold form steel section with 100 to 150 mm height, supported on props in 1.2m to over 2m grid intervals, which is able to deal with stabs concrete pouring thickness up to over 1.2 meters. The commom steel skeleton components weight less than 15kg, and there are simple stud features on both main and secondary skeleton beams to allow for fast formwork installation and removal.
The C.H.F skeleton solution is fully adoptable with the C.H.F composite panel system. When used with composite panel system,there is no need to use secondary beams, and the steel frame in the composite panel plays the roll of secondary beams.
C.H.F designs each typical panel to be light enough and with handle rods for easy assemble. Installation plan and work procedures & instructions are also provided for fast construction. With C.H.F.'s system formwork and G & K's service, each formwork worker can become experienced in a short time.
C.H.F. and G & K Consultancy provide tailored design for composite system formwork for each structure. Analogue to "Lego" bricks, the system formwork is designed to maximise the use of typical composite panels and standard components such as props, walings, form ties etc, to facilitate the concrete work of a structure. Commonly, over 80% of such a tailored-made formwork for a building is with typical parts. The whole system for formwork design can be reused for each identical floor of a tower, and furthermore, the typical panels and standard components can be reused across structures. The common reuse ability for all panels and components can be over a hundred times, and therefore the formwork cost per unit concreted area is much lower than conventional timber formwork. At the same time, the working site is neat with minimal waste.
Table formwork is particularly designed for structures with large numbers of typical bays that have long span slabs, especially for flat slabs. C.H.F. provides both tailored design table formwork with factory made panel skeleton and simple table formwork based on C.H.F. Universal Skeleton.
Working platform and fence are standard components that can be used across different table formworks. All fence and working platform are fixed to the beams of table formwork by easy pin wedge fixer for fast construction.Table formwork is lifted to postion or removed by lifting frame. The table formwork can be lifted with all accessories such as fence and working platform in place.
lexible joints and simple edge with triangle cross-section can be easily adopted into composite panel system to form a Core Former. It is used to form shafts and voids inside concrete blocks or columns. Easy instillation and removal is achieved by adjusting the two inernal tie bars: when they are propped up, the core former is in position, and when they are pulled in, the core former shrinks to get ready fo removal.
Special formwork fixer is designed to deal with the use of composite panels for columns with various dimensinos. This simple fixer is a special made "bracked" like waling which is to arrange around a column and tie to one another in head-and-tail manner. With this fixer, the composite panels are arranged like a "Fan" when it is looked along the column axis. This easy handle fan fixer reduces the need to make special panels for each column and thus improves the construction efficiency meanwhile reduces cost.
For location with no slabs such as core and external walls, steel wall form solution provides easy formwork installation and safe working environment. One steel wall form panel is designed to cover the wall of a storey high and with width of up to about 6 metres, thus only a small number of steel panels are able to form the whole wall formwork, and therefore dangerous labour works at external or core wall region is minimised. At the same time, standard working platform is assembled on the steel wall form to provide platform for access and concrete works.
Steel wall form is reusable through a whole building, whilst the standard working platform, fence, wall form stands can be reused with all C.H.F. steel wall form. For work convenience, formwork waling, access ladders and tool box are built in the steel wall form.
Working platform is provided both at the top and at the bottom of external steel wall formwork. The lower working platform is fixed to the existing lower floor and forms a base for the formwork at upper floor. This bottom working platform can climb along the walls as the wall formwork is to be installed on the even upper floors. The top working platform is attached to the wall formwork before lifting into position, which provides space for installation and concrete works.
